HOME ENERGY RATINGS, REBATES & CERTIFICATIONS

Energy Modeling - This software tool compares the predicted energy use of a building to that of a code-built home with the same dimensions in the same location. It can be used during the design process to quickly and easily compare the effectiveness of different energy efficiency measures and is the first step in any building certification.

Energy Code Compliance - Energy codes are updated regularly making it challenging to keep up with the changes. E.Coe Company offers assistance with WSEC credit paperwork and strategies for code compliance.

Blower Door & Duct Leakage Testing - As air leaks through holes in the building shell, it carries moisture and odors and transfers heat. Blower door and duct leakage testing finds those air leaks allowing you to build more energy efficient, comfortable, healthy, durable and affordable to live in homes.

Federal 45L Energy Efficient Home Builder's Tax Credit - In 2022, Congress passed legislation allocating funds to combat climate change, and this tax credit was modified under that legislation. Now, builders of new residences that receive Energy Star or DOE Zero Energy Ready certification are eligible for a $2500 or $5000 tax credit, respectively.

Utility Rebates - Some local energy utilities, including Puget Sound Energy and Snohomish PUD, offer rebates to builders for the construction of energy efficient homes and for the selection of certain energy efficient equipment and appliances. These rebates range from $50 to $2,000. E.Coe Company will make sure you don't miss out on a single rebate.

Energy Star Home - Energy Star certified homes are designed and built to be more energy efficient than typical code-built new construction. These homes are inspected, tested and verified to assure the quality buyers expect from the Energy Star brand, one of the most recognized and respected in the U.S., and are now eligible for a $2500 federal tax credit.

Department of Energy's Zero Energy Ready Home - A step beyond Energy Star, ZERH certification represents a whole new level of performance with rigorous requirements that ensure outstanding levels of energy savings, comfort, health, and durability. DOEZERH certified projects are now eligible for a $5000 federal tax credit.

Home Energy Rating - The Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index is the industry standard by which a home’s energy efficiency is measured. It’s also the nationally recognized system for inspecting and calculating a home’s energy performance.

Indoor AirPLUS, WaterSense & Net-Zero Energy -
